The Software Developer will assist in the in-depth analysis of performance data from solar photovoltaic systems.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicants responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain, improve and further develop our data warehouse
  • Suggest process improvements and optimizations to improve ETL processing times and system performance
  • Guide the development of our next-generation web-based monitoring portal to access and display the data in meaningful ways
  • Direct the setup, configuration, and testing of automation batch jobs, scripts, file transfers
  • Develop technical documentation for our scripts, programs, processes and applications
  • Define and oversee best practices for the long-term quality and usability of our data acquisition chain
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
  • Support ISO 9001 activities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in various roles in software development
  • Excellent knowledge of Python and other languages such as JavaScript
  • Experience in relational database design, architecture and optimization, with a solid understanding of SQL
  • Experience with data pipelines and ETL flows
  • Strong experience with the development of web applications with frameworks such as Django
  • Experience with development for mobile devices a plus
  • Prior exposure to the development of multi-language applications an asset
  • Strong work ethic, positive team attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Description:

The PV Contracting Proposal Manager will engage with existing and potential new clients managing proposals, responses to RFPs and contracts.  The Proposal Manager will work closely with business development staff and project managers in regional offices to understand project requirements and provide project execution support. The focus will be on maintaining and extending contracts as well as developing new opportunities with current and future clients. 

The individual should have a background in commercial management, contract administration, or project management (experience in renewable power generation would be an asset). Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in a customer / supplier service environment are required. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze specifications, scopes of work, preliminary drawings and other customer requirements to develop a thorough understanding of the proposed project.
  • Prepare and submit requests for information to the customer to clarify the scope of the proposed project.
  • Manage resources internally and externally, as required, to ensure timely submission of responses to RFPs and proposals.
  • Negotiate pricing, schedules and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Follow-up with customer after submission of proposal submit additional information, as requested.
  • Build, maintain, and grow client relationships.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with tracker of proposal and deliverable due dates.
  • Liaison with PV contracting team members to understand resource availability for upcoming proposals.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies.
  • Conduct other duties as required.

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong commercial management, contract administration and project management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum college diploma in Business Administration or Engineering.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Strong work ethic, positive team attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in renewable energy generation would be an asset.
  • Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Contact and meet existing prospects and clients and build a close, binding relationship to understand their needs and to ensure company is positioned correctly to meet those needs

·         Generate, identify and contact leads through different sources and trade publications

·         Develop an account penetration strategy to grow the territory

·         Achieve targets for volume and gross margin as well as targets for territory management

·         Manage the entire sales cycle of our PV products and manage the integration of our products into utility and commercial scale by understanding the technical and financial project needs and offering project specific support packages outside the product

·         Frequently establish and communicate sales forecast, sales opportunities and prospect review

·         Collect and share competitive information as well as market and territory data from the field to assist in marketing strategies as well as to define sales and business development activities

·         Participate in trade shows and conferences to represent the company, to entertain clients and prospects and to close new sales opportunities

·         Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% depending on schedule and customer requirements

 

Required Qualifications

·         Must have at least 8+ years of B2B selling experience, including 3+ years in the photovoltaic industry 

·         Engineering background / technical sales preferred

·         Ability to quickly learn detailed information about solar energy and solar industry

·         Demonstrated ability to find and signup new prospects

·         Experience with value selling and designing an account penetration strategy/plan

·         Ability to find the decision maker in a complex deal

·         Strong presentation and communication, written, and verbal skills

·         Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively

·         Participate in regular review meetings and trainings

·         Reliable transportation necessary – business travel expenses are reimbursed

·       High proficiency of MS Office applications and Sales Force.com

The Senior Tax Analyst, reporting directly to the Sr. Tax Manager, will be primarily responsible for US tax reporting, including US Federal, State, and local tax returns and tax accounting, including compliance, while directly supporting the activities for tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing, and other initiatives as required to directly support the business unit and department needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing transaction tax (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, and property tax) returns for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings;
  • Preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns;
  •  Researching federal, state, and local tax issues as appropriate;
  • Interpreting and complying with state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislation;
  • Providing guidance based on research of transaction tax laws and regulations;
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of transaction tax general ledger accounts;
  • Tax support for mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions;
  • Preparing for and assisting with tax audit, tax planning initiatives and transfer pricing;
  • Developing and implementing process improvements;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed for the business unit.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA certification desirable;
  • Must have a minimum of 4+ years of tax experience with proven track record of accomplishments;
  • Big-Four experience and international tax exposure a plus;
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Hyperion to enable data extract and reconciliation;
  • Exposure to CorpTax or similar software desirable;
  • US GAAP knowledge and solid experience with tax provisions;
  • Bilingual in English & Mandarin preferred
  • Work will be performed in a standard office environment, in front of a computer monitor and will involve sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing, and reaching.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, collaboratively and cross-culturally.
