Canadian Solar completes construction of the 20 MWp Wulate project.

This 20 MW solar plant was the result of investment by Guodian Henguan Wulate New Energy company and was developed as a joint venture with a subsidiary of Canadian Solar - Suzhou Gaochuangte New Energy. It is both Canadian Solar's and Guodian Henguan Wulate New Energy company's strategy to develop the PV industry in Inner Mongolia and surrounding areas with this 20 megawatt EPC project.

The Wulate solar plant will also create significant environmental benefits over its lifetime. The system is expected to generate 35000 MWh energy and offset the emission of more than 28000 tons of CO2 per year.

  • It only took a total of 59 days from the project start date to grid connection, creating a new construction speed record for domestic large-scale solar power projects.
  • In addition, it only took four hours to successfully connect to the grid, creating a new connection speed record for a 20 MWp utility grade project.
