Ningxia Hongsibao Project, China

Canadian Solar Completes Construction of 10 MWp Ninxiahongsibao Project.

This 10 MW solar plant was the result of investment by Ningxia Power Group and was developed by a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, Suzhou Gaochuangte New Energy, as a joint venture. It is both Canadian Solar's and Ningxia Power Group's strategy to develop the PV industry in Ningxia and surrounding areas with this first 10-megawatt EPC project in China.

“The impressive scale of this milestone China PV project is a direct testament to the high quality work by Ningxia Power Group and Gaochuangte New Energy, including Canadian Solar,” said Dr. Shawn Qu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Solar.

The Hongsibao solar plant will also create significant environmental benefits over its lifetime. The system is expected to generate 13680 MWh energy and offset the emission of more than 19152 tons of CO2 per year. This project was the first TÜV SÜD certified project in China. This certificate reflects the overall strength of Canadian Solar in providing leading solutions and services across the globe, showing a world-leading capability in the power system construction area.
