Canadian Solar Modules Deployed in the First 250 kW Solar Energy Installation on a Cattle Facility in Burgessville, Ontario.

Nature Farms Inc, one of Ontario's largest feed and pork companies, has embarked on its first solar project in the town of Burgessville, Ontario. The 250 kW project was connected to the grid in June 2012, and takes advantage of the sun's clean energy with the help of 1,196 Canadian Solar CS6P performance modules. The pioneering solar system rests on the rooftop of a 120 x 364 ft. livestock facility, the home to over 40 head of cattle. Nature Farms decided to embrace the solar project because they felt that the Ontario Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) program offered both an excellent investment and the opportunity to help reduce environmental pollutants.

As Gary Blenkhorn, H.B.A., owner and President of Faromor, commented, "Canadian Solar not only delivered high quality solar modules, but also consulted with Faromor on engineering and design, and provided full customer support throughout the project."
