TOP ENERGY YIELD. -- Best In Class Solar PV System In DKASC
Canadian Solar PV System in DKASC, Australia Yield Up to 2.8% More Energy Than Other Industry Leading Brands.
The Desert Knowledge Australia Solar Centre (DKASC) is a demonstration facility for commercialised solar technologies operating in the arid solar conditions of Alice Springs, Central Australia.
The DKASC was developed by CAT Projects and Desert Knowledge Australia, as a resource for the rapidly expanding solar industry in Central Australia. The Solar Centre promotes understanding and confidence in solar technologies, and provides the industry with long term system level data proving the reliability of solar generators in an Australian context.
According to the ongoing performance data at DKASC from 1st Sep 2013 to 31st Mar 2014, Canadian Solar’s 5.5kW system, installed with 22 pieces of 250W Canadian Solar modules (CS6P-250P), generated 170.61 kWh/kWp electricity per month on average. In the same location and under the same weather conditions, our PV system outperformed many other leading solar companies by producing up to 2.8% more electricity. That is, for the same system size, Canadian Solar system will produce 26kWh more electricity per month on average, and 310 kWh per year. It means Canadian Solar modules can bring customer more cash rebate and increase the investment return.
Central Australia where DKASC locates is a continental desert environment and has an arid climate with hot summers and cool winters. During winter (May to September) the nights can quite cold (below freezing) and the days are crisp, cool and bright. In summer maximum daily temperatures can top over 40 degrees for a number of days.
